Ahhh...yes, the western, How we loved them. Tall rugged men atop their noble equine. Galloping across the screen with the scenic western sky as their backdrop. With their cowboy attire and spurs jingling as they walked.Holsters strapped loosely to their waist with guns hanging on their side. Their was none other like them on tv. Tough enough to stand on their own and noble enough to come to the aid of anyone in distress. They were honest, true and fearless. They were all the fastest gun in the west...Ah...good thing the west was so big. Yes sir boy, something for both the male and female viewer. So where are they now? Lost in a maze of reality tv, they have been forgotten. Even Youtube offered little help with this great part of tv's past. So many westerns made and only a handful to choose from. I have done my best to bring back our old western friends, hope this page makes you smile.
Ok, so we have all heard of the fastest gun in the west. We've also heard the meanest, the roughest, the bravest, and now we have the hottest. These guys may be bold and forceful, or mild and modest. Perhaps hot tempered or shy and easy going. But they all have one thing in common. They are all irresistible
Cheyenne was quite a cowboy. His voice was low and manly and yet somehow soft and sexy.He was tall and handsome with a superman build.Tough enough for the boys and hot enough for the girls. A real man's man, but a lady's man to. I put this video together using the theme song to the series, but with some clips from the show.
Cheyenne was very popular in it's day and did indeed inspire it's own song. With the help of our tv friends, I have added some video and I hope you enjoy it.
Will Hutchins played Tom Brewster, alas Sugarfoot. This soft spoken tenderfoot was far more interested in learning the law then getting in a fight, but he was always willing to help if needed. He preferred not to fight but always seem to manage to walk into the biggest hornets nest around. Not wanting to use a gun, he had to come up with unusual but successful other means to make things right. Soft spoken and fast on the draw he was a unusual but likable cowboy.
Johnny Yuma was a rebel. Yes he was, and very proud of it. Back from the war, he found his family murdered and no place to call home. With emotional demons of his own to conquer, and wanting to learn more about life, he traveled the country. Keeping a ledger he hoped someday to be a author. He was proud enough to ware the colors he had fought for , but that did mean trouble for him. This man in gray found everyone had a idea about the war. Either they were on the side of the blue or were mad the gray lost. This did not make life easy for him. Still he had a good sense of right and wrong and was not afraid to step in where he saw injustice being done. He was not a big man, but they say good things come in small packages and in Johnny's case that seem to be true.
Hugh O'Brian played the famous Wyatt Earp. O'Brian brought a noble quality to this character. A quiet man of few words, this Wyatt was fearless and determined. Still he was kind and fair.
This was not the original video to this theme song. I have taken the Destry theme song and added some video from the show. The show came in at the end of the western era on tv and only lasted thirteen weeks. It was a western comedy. It is very hard to find footage or information for this show.
There are so many missing children throughout the country. So many parents who never know what happened and so many missing who never are found or get justice. With so many ways to get the information into so many hands it seems we should be working together to find help for all those who know the feeling of such a loss. This is our attempt to help. You will find missing children on this site and if you know something, please help.
